spiderpigUpdating the situation on my fucked up Pikapika. My dad was extremely pissed at me and acted as though he wanted to disown me (ah, the woes of having a techie dad, and having him influence me to be a techie daughter), but he got all patronizing and tried to find the boot disk. Which I didn't have (BECAUSE HE KEEPS ALL THE THINGS??!)and it made him even madder. In the end, he tricked the computer to go into the FixIt screen and ran the undeleter.
Guess what.
I have approximately 8000 files to pick through and restore all the important .sys and driver files. Great way to spend the day, eh? On a happier note, I've gone through about 1000 of them. :x

Date: 2004-08-21 07:59 am (UTC)That's really sad when you know your dad disowned you, well, but hope you feel better soon, sometimes i am getting very hurt and upset with my parents too, but don't make yourself feel hurt, that's the foolish thing to do.
Also, you may try to understand them as well, maybe they are too old, etc. You possibly can't change their attitudes on things, u know, you are the one can change your own attitude towards them.
