By the way, has anyone on my friendslist used Crescent for Y!J auctions? Or is Rinkya better? I want to get the Subarashiki Kono Sekai's Nyan-tan plushie. :D()

CRESCENT IS LOVE!

Okay, I'm a big fan of Crescent but only for purchases from 10,000 and below. Anything higher and it's better to use Celga or Mai. I like Crescent's realtime bidding system, and how you can combine shipping for several items before sending it at one shot. They have decent customer service too - I get my questions answered within the next day, and I haven't lost an auction either.

Bad thing - Crescent is expensive for items over 10,000 yen. If you're planning to bid on big items, Celga might be a better choice since they charge lower fees for big items (but really high for small! o.O) I don't really like their customer service either, but hey, that's me.

Rinkya is wonderfully expensive. I think their the MOST expensive shopping service.....especially their gold membership. They practice favouristism too, as in their gold members have piority over others. They're pretty good and efficient, but I think their standards have dropped ever since the Rinkya Scandal.

If you're planning to buy a combination of Shops In Tokyo eg. Laforet, Shibuya 109 + Y!J go for Mai Ozawa - she's a one person shopping service and does a 20% FLAT FEE. Very good deal if you want something fast or rare eg. fukuburo. She's really friendly and efficient, plus she always sends a free customer gift (usually a plushie or notebook) I got a really cute mario plushie for free once! :D

Ah! okaY! Yeah! (So many exclamation marks...) Crescent leaves a good impression on me, so I'll probably go with them - and your recommendation! :D Ah, don't worry, most of the things I want are under 10,000 yen so Crescent it is!

TSU! WHAT'S THIS ABOUT THE DEPOSIT THING. WHAT'S UP WITH THE $50USD DEPOSIT?? O: Does it actually credit my bankaccount?

Date: 2007-08-27 02:30 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/tsu_/
the deposit works like this - for every deposit, you can bid 26,000 yen more. BUT YOU MUST DEPOSIT FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN BID. yes it credits your bank account, but after you pay for the items the DEPOSIT IS RETURNED TO YOU so please don't worry. the only time they confiscate the deposit is when people don't pay for the item
