is that what i think it is?
Jul. 13th, 2007 01:26 pmI'm breaking my hiatus briefly due to a plot bunny that ate my brain at 3am last night.
So this leads me to a very short drabble on Tykki. I haven't written any fanfiction for ages - I gave up back in secondary school because I kept on churning cliched Mary-Sues by the dozen - so this is really my first attempt in many many years.

Introspective on Tykki. I suddenly wanted to use the ocean metaphor. I probably can and will expand it a bit. But for now, sleep calls.
EDIT:
Y'know, I think university will have a positive effect on my fanfiction-ing. :D

Summary: Introspective on Tykki Mick.
Tykki loved the ocean. He took pleasure in watching it crash – violently – agaisnt the breakwater. It was always a refreshing change from the hubbub back 'home' with the rest of his dysfunctional (extremely dysfunctional, he decided to add in) family. It was, a place where his two sides could coincide peacefully.
For the most part.
Part of him wanted the ocean to swell up forty feet high and sweep everything up in its watery wrath. The other part of him, the supposed better part of him, was content with just watching the ocean devour hermit crabs and destroy sandcastles.
To Tykki, the ocean was him - metaphorically speaking of course. And he was the ocean in all its humanity.
The ocean loved the land. Yet, for all its possessiveness, it only sought to swallow its love up whole and leave devastation in its wake.
Tykki loved the ocean. But he could never destroy it.
Introspective on Tykki. I suddenly wanted to use the ocean metaphor. I probably can and will expand it a bit. But for now, sleep calls.
