1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Actually win something for a school I went to. And started work at a funky place (I don't mean that in a good way) for the sole reason of getting cash. I never thought that seeing books would make me cringe, but they do now. :\ I should have taken the Gramophone job. Haha. Too late. I'm sticking with this one because I need to suffer. I can't make off like some poor sob who can't handle a bit of drudgery and trouble.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't remember if I made any, though there is a niggling memory of me saying how I should lose weight. I did! Then put some on again! However, thanks to the "NO SITTING DOWN" policy of my workplace, I have lost weight again.

The only resolution I'm making for this year is that I will continue to do my best, and have no regrets. Vague, but simple.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I'm thankful that nothing like that happened. Because that would entail 18 year old mothers.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
Thailand! With great joy, because it was with the band!

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Money, sadly. I really need money for tuition fees, for Japan, for all the materialistic things I need and must have. I'd like more inspiration to write too. And more notebooks.

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Tie between Con Fuoco IV, because of the awesometastic solos I did and Graduation Day where everyone went "woaaah" upon the whole Wireless Fiasco.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finally getting a B in History. No seriously. I slogged for a year and worked out the kinks and finally emerged somewhat triumphant. I'm not the top, but at least I'm near it.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not fighting my way into Lit S. I should've, but I chose not to for reasons that I don't know.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Fuck! Monster Lim made me twist my ankle! I was incapitated for nearly a month.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Fables. Haha, I'm probably serious about that. But to be general: Books.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Michelle probably. She's a ray of sunshine amongst the clouds.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Agh, too many to count and name.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Books. Textbooks inclusive.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Japan, even though it won't happen until April. I was really realy excited. To the extent that I was doing accomodation research instead of studying for my midyears and prelims. =A=;;;

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
Whatever Happened to You by the Sexies. We Will Become Silhouettes by The Postal Service also means alot to me.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Happier I suppose.

ii. thinner or fatter?
HAHA.

I HOPE THINNER.

iii. richer or poorer?
Poorer of sorts, but richer in others.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Write more, be decisive more.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Lazing around. I could have worked harder of course. No you couldn't have! You've done 12 hour study days, are you insane? And probably not involve myself in other people's matters.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
It already passed, but it was fun drinking with good company.

21. Did you fall in love in 2006?
Fall in like.

22. Did you break any hearts?
I wish I did! Send a swif kick to their heart's nether regions.

23. How many one-night stands?
WITH YOUR MOM.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
PROJECT RUNWAY HAHA.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate? Hmm... No. Dislike yes.

26. What was the best book you read?
The last book I read was A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry. But the last best book I read would probably be A.S. Byatt's Posession.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Yo La Tengo or The Postal Service.

28. What did you want and get?
Uhm.... Hmm..... I wanted good grades, and I did get good grades. Of sorts.

29. What did you want and not get?
A fucking saxophone. A Nintendo DS. And like, a scholarship and stuff. hha.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Pirates of the Carribean Two for the win. Only because I can't remember anything else.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I went to my godforsaken Prom. 18. I went and drank cocktails.

32.What is one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Winning lots of caaaaaaaash. Which will and should happen this year. :)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Jeans. Because I finally got my first pair of jeans at the end of last year. So I became a jeans person. Now I currently have three pairs of jeans and a pair of denim capris and I'm a happy camper. My fashion concept? Geek-punk of sorts. More geek though.

34. What kept you sane?
My music. More specifically: Sennheiser headphones.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Hoho, Johnny Depp as always.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Ah, the General Elections as usual. And Saddam's death. I felt a little saddened by it.

37. Who did you miss?
.... I'm not obliged to say.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I only met Rachel Koh this year. So it's her. And then a certain Mr Kurtz.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
I remember last year, I said "Run when you see a tsunami" or something like that.

This year, I say: Keep your flowerpots in high places.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
I can't think of anything.
