I find it fcuking hilarious that I can fail Elementary Mathematics, and do much better in Additional Mathematics, which is supposed to be harder. I must seek my solace in what is called Calculus. >.>;;; I hate the way how Singapore is so academic-ly based. If you don't have a degree or diploma, you can't get a decent job. Of course, its the same in other places in the world, but its more obvious here. Parents verbally and physically abuse children when they don't get the desired marks the parents want, always comparing us to the someone who is always better than us. Maybe its just the hard life they used to live, that pushes them to force us to not be like them. To beat the rat-race and come out tops. But can't they see that this sort of upbringing, is actually bringing their kids down? This sort of "conventional" thinking has so many negative effects. Yes, you get many degree-holders, but do you actually see what their attitudes towards life are?

Just recently a principal from a well-known school quit his position. Why? Because he had hit a student with a soft-cover book and someone else's godsister complained. If you heard this, without knowing the details, the inevitable human reaction would be "What?!". However, this particular student, a 14 year old girl, was pardoned from 21 serious offences by the principal, because he thought that it would do no good, if she was expelled. So on that particular day, I guess she did something really bad to irk him, 'til he had to dish out corporal punishment. A few other students were there too, one who had committed 29 offences. Now which principal, would be so kind-hearted and forgiving to let these trouble-makers off? People who are a nuisance to society, and who ruin the school's good reputation. One of the offender's went home and told his god-sister about it, and the god-sister reported it to the police. GOD-SISTER! Not even his parents reported it! And she didn't even make any clarifications!

What the schools here need, is corporal punishment. I am a student myself, and I believe that what the education system is lacking, is a respect for teachers and educators. Of course, I get really irritated and annoyed with them to the extent that I spout vulgarities, but there is still a sort of grudging respect I have for them. Even I wouldn't have the committment and courage to take up such a demanding job here. Reported in today's newspaper, a 13 year-old girl set fire to her teacher's hair. I am appalled to see younger generations do this sort of thing. Kids nowadays are spoilt, affected and down-right-disturbing. Sadly, I am also part of this group. I am spoilt to a certain extent, and I do think only for myself at times. But seriously, look around here! Its really saddening to see my country's future leaders developing into an ineffective lot. Parents are too protective, sheltering their offspring with material needs, with maids and nannies to take care of everything from the wearing of socks to pouring a cup of water. POURING A CUP OF WATER, I say. Is it so hard? There are no words to describe the irritation and disappointment I'm feeling.

I did my English comprehension test today, and finished in half-an-hour. Which is freakingly fast, even for myself. So I slept for the next hour. It was doable, and I really look in wonder at my friends, who have to ask me the simplest of questions. Please go and read more decent books, girls? I won't be here during the examinations to help you guys, know?

My brother has taken over the computer which has RO on it. t3h 3v1L. I'm suffering from withdrawal syptoms. Just last week, there was this annoying guy, who said something like, "Wow, you're such a cool girl!" when I told him that I was going to play RO. Well, if I was a guy, you wouldn't say that about me, yeah? Its all sexism. Girls are not gamers, or at least the majority of them. To be specific, Singaporean girls aren't the "gamer" type. They either stay at home and burn their brains, or they burn their wallets. Woohoo. The choices. Junction 8 has officially become my local Gloomy Bear haven. I shall haunt that place every time I get my allowance. Manga, food and Gloomy Bear. What more could a girl ask for?

EDIT: I also forgot to add that, for some inexplainable reason, my new nickname at school is Min Xiang/ Min De. >.> And I was plonked into the traditional games group for PE. I must say that, its VERY FUN! <3<3<3 We had to throw our shoes around, and I threw mine onto the floor, and it bounced back towards me. ;__; I lost. Then we played tag, some road game... Fun-ness.

From what my friend said who takes A Maths (I dont o_o E Maths is enough to kill me >.>) A Maths deal more with formulas and stuff. So you just apply and work out. With practice, it's easy...and E Maths require more thinking? I'm not in the position to say because I dont take it XD

I understand that x_x A guy classmate of mine thought I was joking and lying when I said I played RO T_T
