Detractors of Johnny Depp can just go fuck themselves. Oh wait. They'd probably like to do that. Seriously, if you don't like Depp, that's not my business. But to call him a bad actor (and you aren't an actor yourself!), you're asking for trouble. Major trouble. Especially if I see you everyday in school. YOU'RE SO ASKING FOR A GOOD PUNCH TO YOUR HEAD.
:D Yay, Got that poison out of my system. I'm tired, cranky, crabby and hungry. Thus, bad mood.
Ah, the AJC Band-Chinese Orchestra concert. Was supposed to meet Sim at CityHall MRT station at 6pm for dinner, but she had cramps so I went to her house first to dump my stuff, just because it'd be dumb of me to wander around Singapore with a duffel bag and my sleeping bag while wearing a rather formal outfit. :\ Uh yeah, I did finally manage to decide what to wear, but that's not important. Sim's dad sent us to the Esplanade with a few minutes to spare, so whilst we were brisk-walking through the crowds, I spotted a few familiar backs.
"OY. JONATHAN. JONATHAN!"
HAHA. Yeah. CJC-St Gabs band members. Jon was with Nic and Melvin (omfg, I'm so sorry Mel, I didn't recognize you). But of course, I purposely didn't call out Nicholas' name for whatever inane reason I had. It was fun. I was talking to them (mainly Jon, because the rest weren't responsive) and then Sim walked off, looking for her other NJ friends. Gasp. Embarrassment, because I turned around and frantically started saying, "Where's my friend? Where's my friend?" And after being pointed in the right direction, I tottered off. I felt like a bloody idiot.didhenoticeme?didhenoticeme? ihopehedidbecausehedidn'tsayhioranything
Nana got us great seatsfor the price we paid, we deserve it! at somewhere in the middle of the theatre. I like the fact that at that spot, the acoustics just sounded great. Of course, the Esplanade was made for great acoustics. Or us citizens would revoke our taxes. X3 Honestly, AJC's band wasn't very spectacular. Their soloists weren't particularly good, especially their saxophonists. I'd say that I could possibly play better than that. Of course other people *pointed stare* can play better. Any day. Overall, the AJC band presented a rather pleasant performance, I can't say that I didn't enjoy it.
Now, the Chinese Orchestra was on a totally different level. Despite nearly falling asleep during their lengthy pieces, the renditions of old and new Chinese songs were impeccable. There were slight intonation problems and clashes, but I guess it's just the nature of a Chinese Orchestra, with all their squeaking and squawking instruments. The last two musical collaborations between the symphonic band and the chinese orchestra was awesome. Definitely the highlight of the concert.
So basically, after the concert ended, Sim and I waited for her dad to pick us up at the taxi stand...( Me being a squealy, undecisive girl ) We picked up WenHan at Ang Mo Kio after finding out, much to our dismay that ChingYi, the lucky birthday girl, couldn't join us for ourorgysleepover.
I guess we were all tired when we finally got back to Sim's house because Wenhan just fell asleep, sprawled over the couch. I soon fell asleep too after watching A Beautiful Mind and a bit of Lost in Translation. Gosh, that movie is hilarious.
"Lip my stockings!"
"What?"
"LIP MY STOCKINGUS! LIP IT! LIP!"
"Rip?"
"Yes, LIP!"
"*proceeds to rip*"
"--Oh! Oh! Let me goooo! Let me goooooo~~~!"
XDXDXD I laughed so hard I nearly died. I thought she said "lick my stockings". Gosh.
The three of us woke up around 8am (wtf?!) and had a hearty breakfast prepared by Sim's mum. Mmm. Weiners and toast. Nothing beats two nice sausages, toast and eggs sunny-side-up. Ching Yi joined us for breakfast and cake! We bought her a fruit-cake because she hates chocholate cake. X3 Then we met Nana at Orchard and brought Ching shopping!! Squee. Yeah, but I left early because I stupidly agreed to watch a movie with Yen, Mimi, Mok, Huis, Rong and Bobo.
GOD THEY WATCHED HOUSE OF WAX. The most gruesome, spasticated (<--Singlish!), brainless, horrible movie ever. I'm glad Nic didn't want to watch it anymore. OMFGWTFBBQ, I hate that movie. SicksicksickSICK. Why didn't we watch Madagascar or something else? Gosh. House of Wax. It's a stupid movie. Despite all the 'symbolic-ness' of it all. Yeah, but everything elseEXCEPT THE BLOODY MOVIE was pretty fun. Like the inane wasting of money on neoprints. I should stop taking them with people. :\
I don't think I'm in love with him. I don't know what that stupid L-word is, in the first place. I'm not qualified to talk about it as though I'm so experienced about it. I'm not. All I know is that I care deeply about him on an emotional level, not a superficial one. Awe, admiration? God. I feel like an Orsino.
Gosh. I think I'm positively shivering from the fact that I have less than a week left to THE HOLIDAYS, of which will be spent studying and away in camps. Summer break this is not. I want to go back to my alma mater and bask in the warm atmosphere that is St Nicholas.
Haha. I think my dad just got cheated. Shall harrass him for details, and possibly get my head bitten off.
Mmkay. I need to do my Middle East Cold War History outline and write some rubbish for my AQ (I don't know what it stands for) question. And study for my Econs test. BLAH.
