These two days
May. 22nd, 2005 01:05 amI did promise an account of the wonderful (for the most part) Star Wars outting, didn't I? Oh alright. Even if you didn't want to hear about it, TOO BAD. YOU'RE HERE. X3
Mmmhmm. My dad didn't do any chauffering, other than for me, yesterday so it was a happy 15 mins more of sleep for me! NIE's CCAB was situated a rather awkward place, if I so say so, to hold a Sports Carnival of any kind. And I guess I was proven correct. The atmosphere just wasn't the same like in St Nicholas. Evidently, I have and will be doing unfair comparisons between the two institutes of education, but I cannot help it. My class was undoubtly lacking in numbers and even I had to participate.
Like I said so many times before, we really aren't too fantastic in volleyball, but we did valiantly tried out best! Here's where I flash my wry grin. Lots of people left, or didn't show up, leaving us with only a 10-strong member team. Other classes had another 10 to cheer them on. It was annoying and sad. We did manage to win some sets, and I did manage to execute a spectacular whack-- Oh alright. I was just trying to hit the ball away randomly, but turned out to be a nice combo between me and Esther.
After we lost two consecutive games, the class split up and I stayed behind to look after their belongings. I should have wandered off to watch Floorball or something. I got pan-fried by the sun while sleeping on the exposed basketball court. Serves me right. Ian said I was sunburnt? PHOOEY. I don't get burnt! But I did get a fraction darker! My aim has been achieved! I'm no longer the pale princess with alabaster hands. Hoho.
One highlight of the Carnival! Fahy's jersey said "FORDSHIP 07". Good Ford, I love that man! He's simply the coolest teacher ever. Why didn't 04 get him as our Home Tutor, he'd sure knock some sense into us.
Most of the band congregated at the back of the Multi-Purpose Hall after the Prize Giving Ceremony. It was a little messy getting everyone together, but we did, in the end! I think around 20 of us then headed for the bus-stop, which was miles and miles away to catch a bus to town. Walking from Bukit Timah to Malcom Park is not in my textbook. But Ford, it was entertaining. Looking for luohan(flowerhorn fish) in the large drains, threatening to taupok each other, well just the guys, and dumb Liang Bao making piercing whistles in everyone's ears... We split up somewhere, with the Ian-Angel-Amelia-Other party heading to Swee Lee to buy things and the rest of us going to Dhoby Ghaut.
We were supposed to play pool at Paradigm first, but somehow or other, ended up eating Hans (haha again
gweenmeanie) for lunch before most of us changed. I don't know why but some people thought that I had put on make-up? ME? MAKE-UP? Hell, I went for my prom with just lip-balm. Wen Sing, Kevin and Melvin joined the growing party at lunch. I was at the Marc-Sing-Joy-Marianne table. =D
After lunch, we headed to Plaza Singapura to just walk around. XD Like typical band people, we all headed up to Music Plaza and gaped at all the instruments like the Pocket Sax and the Flugel Horn. I debated about buying my reedguards, and just got them in the end. They're green y'know? Lovely. Absolutely. That reminds me, SNSB 'stole' my saxophone cleaning kit. I need to go back and erm, retrieve it. YEAH I KNOW. I'M GOING BACK TO STEAL IT BACK.
Everyone met outside the theatre and we just made A LOT of noise. The guys went to play this Percussion Game at the arcade, and obviously they got the high score. Twice. <3 And then they did weird things like erm, trying to eh, grope each other's man-boobs or something. It was just plain hilarious and wrong. I'm so glad I'm not a guy, I didn't get raped, and did some random grabs myself. I'M SORRY TO MY VICTIMS.
3 rows, we took up 3 rows, all of us.;__; I wanted to sit with Star Wars fanatics. I sat in the front with the girls, because there weren't enough seats in the other two rows. :\ But yeah, I didn't make as many funny noises as I usually do during movies. Star Wars III was awesome. THE HORN SOLOS IN THERE WERE MIND-BLOWING. Oh, I'm sorry. I got carried away. Though, the movie was pretty draggy at some points, otherwise known as the romantic parts. The lightsabre duels were fucking, eye-popping visual masterpieces, as with all the battleships and X-wings. <3 Acting was alright I guess. I GIVE THE EMMY TO YODA, MY LITTLE GREEN FRIEND. He's a doll.
Pool at Paradiz was FUN. I mean, I've never played pool before, except for that one time in Sec 1 at the chalet. Charles tried to teach me, but I think I shortened his life-span by a few years. I'm quite hopeless, I guess. This is why I don't take math, fellows. But I did manage to pull-off a miracle shot when playing a game with Mingfang, Marianne and Jeremy. My stick hit the cue-ball and the ball actually jumped, before hitting my target, which made it roll into the pocket. <3<3<3 Miracle right before your eyes, follks. Then again, I kept on missing and making stupid mistakes before and after. All in good fun, I suppose.
Took the MRT home with Nic, Ian and Marc. Yeah yeah, the NEL is a little weird. Marc was saying lame things like "THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRAIN. WHY? IT HAS A DRIVER." Thanks for freaking me out when we're already on. =p
Today we had band, and I reached the band room rather early, assaulting the people who were there with my two lightsabers. They're the new band-toys! At least, until I take them back. We had random Jedi-Sith fights around the band room. X3 I love the band people. Only we can do childish things like this.
I'm kinda miffed because my baritone saxophone's missing a screw and I can't play my Ds and low C onwards. Which pratically is every other important note. Sigh. I hope it gets sent for repair soon. The plan for having a saxophone quartet-quintet is very much alive! I'm EXCITED. A glimmer of hope for me to play the Soprano or Alto? I hope so. I love my Bari, but I'd be estatic to be able to double!
I'm also being a complete retard by wearing my new court-shoes in the house. They're spiffy! I like my new court-shoes.
Mmkay. I'm off to sleep, AJC concert tomorrow and a sleepover at Sim's place. YAY FOR VESAK DAY. Spasm.
