Because my brother is in the teenage phase of turning into a punk, he has all the cool punk emo music now.

And I steal them off him. :3 It's fun hearing him gasp in awe when finding out something new about the rock/punk genre. Like yesterday, he was ranting about Bo Bice's rendition of a Rolling Stones song. If only I can get him to learn an instrument. I have like, the coolest younger brother ever?

Oh hello, we had band practice today, the first one without any J2s at all! And we sounded rather nice. We're going to get along just fine. It was a bit of a mess at first because well, I was confused about where some of the conductor scores were and Marc and I were running around the place looking and giving out scores. Remind myself to always put the baton out just as I did in SN. No more running across the track (omg 100m sprint) to get a whole shitload of scores for the band, no more running back and forth; the cupboard's just a few steps away! It'd be silly incorporating the SN system of photocopying into CJCSB. 3 sets doesn't cut it. Firstly we don't have the space, and althought we'll definitely have sufficient scores, it's impractical. I'll work something out with Marc. So Tim and Jing Hui formally passed down the duties to us today. It's sinking in and settling better than on Wednesday, thank God. But the hilarious part was when the two ex-Librarian left, when we got down to catalouging a few pieces, we got confused over whether the ticks meant that it was chopped and numbered and keyed in, or just the first two. The cupboard's such a pain to close, but I got it shut in the end. HUZZAH. Hung around to hear the QMs talk about their QM-ly duties and then MingFang started hollering about how she wanted to buy bras when we were leaving. :o

Yargh. I borrowed an alto home because Sir was telling me to practice In the Miller Mood over the holidays and uh, my past experience with bringing back a husband instead of a boyfriend (a.k.a baritone saxophone instead of an alto) drove everyone mad. Nic was all, "Why are you borrowing back an alto? Your embrochure will change and..." :( I had such a hard time controlling my air-speed today during Honor and Glory (stupid. no baritone part!) and my high As and Bs just pierced through the whole band sound. Ouch. But the alto's the only other saxophone which is in the same key as my baritone so uh, yeah. Besides, Sir approved it so yeah. And I can finally uh, practice the CORRECT fingerings without stretching my arm down and looking so retarded. :) Anyway, I need practice period.

Monday's going to be confusing, the band wants to go out and I want to go with them. GMUFC wants to go out and celebrate Lala and Gen's birthday and I want to go for that too! ;__; Choices choices. I should go for the latter because I haven't seen my bestest friends for ages. I'll probably end up going for both SOMEHOW or other because I'm like that. Hmm.

1a) Using appropriate examples, explain the difference between internal and external economies of scale. (10)
b) Discuss the view that the profit motive will always lead to large firms dominating the market for each and every type of product. (15)

2. "In 2001, there was a world-wide reduction in airline business. Smaller airlines with lower costs and cheaper discount fares suffered less than high-cost larger airlines such as Air France, Swissair and Lufthansa."
a) Explain why, according to economic analysis, there are benefits from large scale organisations. (12)
b) discuss to what extent the above extract concerning costs disproves that economic analysis (13)

I'll get started on it soon, after I finish my Detente graphic organiser and BNW essay.

Lunch was bee-hoon! WITH TABASCO/TOBASCO SAUCE. <3 Funny how I can't spell my favourite condiment.
