Went to school today, and found out that both the essays that I thought were due today (and one I struggeld to finish) are actually due in two week's time. For once, I hate deadlines. I'm still going to complete my Romanticism essay by the end of the week though.

In other news, I feel quite excited about some upcoming USP events? (Maybe hanging out in Chatterbox has rubbed off on me. =A=;;)

1/10th of me wants to participate because well, these are rather prestigious happenings so they'll look good on my non-existent CV but really, I'm quite interested in these things for once (aside from endless creative writings courses) so why not?

Yale University's Faith and Globalization Seminar -Joint Discussion on Religion & Violence 6 November-- Tony Blair is going to be facilitating this one and even though I feel faaaaaaaaaaaaar and fully inadequate (intellectually) to actually take part, I might apply. The date of the event though, is kind of iffy because of LOOMING DEADLINES. But hey.
Harvard College in Asia Program (HCAP; see http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/hcap/ for further details), 7-15 Feb (Cambridge, MA, leg) & 21-29 Mar (Singapore leg), 2009. : THIS ONE I AM ATTENDING. I want to go for HCAP (mainly the Cambridge leg but OMG HCAP. I didn't take part in the 2008 one but I shall try to this coming year!
Princeton Interactive Crisis Simulation * 26 Feb to 1 Mar at Princeton; and USP will host PICSim 2010 (12-14 Mar 2010) in Singapore.) -- The description says it's like the crisis simulations at MUN. Okay sold. Would like to take part if I don't go for HCAP. But HCAP > Princeton right now.

So yes. Um I'm trying to be more socially active and get over my aloofness about meeting and talking to people.
