spiderpigI admit that I might not be the most verbose or eloquent of writers out there, but at this moment, I feel the proverbial writers block right smack in my path. There's something missing (and I think that thing is called "school") that prevents me from going waxing lyrical on literary garbage that's something like a pipe that's burst. Clean, clear water mixed with sewage flith - bits of decayign fishsticks and rotting carrots thrown into the mix. Yet one thing for sure, amongst that garbage that I churn out, there are one or two breaths of fresh air that sometimes I'm even proud of.
I need to stop living on rehashes of the same product (new and improved, like those detergent commercials) and get on with something really new, something really refreshing, something that makes me go "これが素晴らしいですよ！" and smile to myself as I ctrl-s and alt-f4 the document page.
There is an void right now, what I'd like to call writer's block, that is preventing me from functioning as per normal. Then again, what's "normal"? It irks me when people say "you're not acting like yourself". Who are you to tell me that I'm not "myself"? Are you implying that you know me better than I know "myself"? フザケンなよ！黙ってるんだよ。It's plain annoying.
On a recent Monday, I spent some quality time with my father - the second time since he's been on leave. We hung out at Central (Clarke Quay) where he had harassed the Marcial Kobe owner before I came. Apparently, he was talking to the owner about the store, and how business was doing, and what it was like coming to work here. When I arrived, dad introduced me to the store owner and let me pick a packet of taiyaki and mini-donuts! :DDDD I love taiyaki and (mini-)donuts!!!!! So I think, after I picked the different flavours out, I thanked the store owner in Japanese and he went, "Oh your Japanese is very good! It sounds very natural."

Anyway, for dinner, we ate at Ma Maison! I indulged in an awesome hamburger steak and my dad got the curry katsu set. In a way, Ma Maison's curry is slightly better than Curry Favor's - especially since Curry Favor specialises in curry.
Progress with Tokimemo GS!! I got the 3rd Hikami ending (gah, felt so bad rejecting Terutan...) which was entertaining - working my way towards the accidental kiss ending for Hikami. :D I'm still missing a couple of their cutscene pictures and it annoys me to no end. I have to fill them uppppp. >_< One of the things I have over control at the moment.But I don't understand why I couldn't get the cutscene of Hikami doing archery. It perplexes me. Strange how a dating-sim affects me like this lately. Displacement of emotions, I suppose - but at least its a relatively healthy approach to something that's usually so much more heartbreaking. I can always restart and return to the last save point of I screw up. Still, where can I find my own Teru/Hariya/Hikami...
So tomorrow's goal will be Hikami's 2nd ending, and I'll probably try and get the remaining cut scenes for Teru and Hikami by hook or by crook, if that means sitting through another 5 hours in front of the TV.
I want to give Geek Terminal a visit. The whole concept seems interesting, even though my cynical side goes "what kind of place calls itself the 'Geek Terminal'?!?" The stuff they serve there apparently is not substandard, so I suppose even geeks need good food. ;D
I need to read more books. Time to get out of the house and go to the library. There's no more shelf space for books (curse you my manga collection!!!) and I am absolutely devoid of extra cash to buy new books. The library it is! Where abused books lay in mounds!
