Withthis type of people around in our midst, how am I supposed to rise up among the masses and become the Editor of The Straits Times? Okay. Scratch that, its time to think deeply and logically. No more "OMFG, that guy is hawt" or rubbish like that.

I'm not surprised or shocked that there are people my age who can write like that, I mean, look at The Prophecy of Stones (the title goes somewhere along those lines). The author is younger than me, wrote the book when she was just a wee little child and now its a bestseller? What am I doing? I'm stuck in the puddles of trivial things. I must swim in the ocean, lest I drown in the puddles. The ocean. Of course, it seems nearly impossible to drown in puddles, but it is the lack of exposure that stifles my growth.

Blame me for being passive, not ready and raring to shove my possible talents on the faculty. I have been rejected every time they have requested me to write an article or essay. This can only mean two things: a)my standard of English and the way I engage reader pales in comparison to the other literary talents of the level; or b)they just hate me.

I think (a) is the more valid one, sadly. Anyway, I'm going to stick with my style, and hope that it carries me towards my dream. I shan't compare myself with people who best me in my own sport. There will be always someone who is better than me, anyway.
