It's been pouring in dribs and drabs. Actually, more like in torrents. Unpredictable doesn't describe the erratic downpours of rain that have been occurring all afternoon. Rain slushes down on alabaster tiles, the bright hot sun blasting through droplets furiously. "How dare you spoil this gloriously sunny day!" it seems to cry out.

The rain relents, grudgingly.

So for a few hours we have the immense heat of Mr Sun again, beating down my back as I take a short walk out to the post-box. A few minutes after I get back (an extended trip, because I forgot to write the address properly and had to return back home) into the safety of my room, I hear a loud crash of water outside my room and damnit, it's raining again.

How kind of you Sir Rain, of choosing to return when I'm back home. I'm eternally grateful for your kindness. Maybe I'll put out more water for you to evaporate and condense into rain!

I have a few things to do in these coming weeks and after the Japan trip - and I love lists. I'm not an extremely organized or even sequential person, but I do like looking organized (ah the deception of it all!)

lists galore!

  1. Get the things done on the previous list, finished. (this sentence doesn't make sense.)
  2. Buy Jack of Fables and Kateigaho by Japan Trip.
  3. Write Rachel's birthday letter and get her present.
  4. Take part in a certain 300 freebies competition!
  5. E-mail [livejournal.com profile] gweenmeanie about Japan because I don't think he reads LJ anymore! GASP!
  6. Get SuppCard checked.
  7. Transfer money into my ATM account.
  8. Return Borders employee things by the 23rd.
  9. Prepare for the ASEAN seminar on the 24th.
  10. Read up on Singapore law to prepare for new job.
  11. Distribute omiyage to friends and family
  12. Prepare the awesometastic present for someone.
  13. Get off my lazy butt and freelance for newspapers.
  14. Sell off old Beast Wars Transformers (mint condition!)
  15. Sell off old CDs that I don't listen to anymore.

At the moment, these few things will take centre stage, and I'll update the list as and when (or is it 'as an when'?) new things pop up. Speaking of lists, yesterday was Kenneth's last day (as well as James) at Borders and I hope I got the correct e-mail address because I think the Borders guys are awesome people to keep in contact with. Plus, since he's going to study business, I might be able to make use of his expertise next time! Haha! I'm definitely going to miss those two guys especially, when my last day comes.

And so today was spent, in a rather lazy fashion, writing shamelessly self-promoting essays and filling up university application forms. A nice change from the glorified maid services I provide at a certain bookstore.

I'm looking forward to Thursday immensely not only because it's my Off Day (I seem to have contracted the "Adult" disease of looking forward to OffDays), but because I've got it jammed pack with totally awesome activities for the win! Photo-hunting with Yen, Bobo and Sim in the morning and afternoon will readily break-in my new camera and hopefully I'll get some good shots, whatever those are; the evening will see me watching 300 in all its widescreen glory with Leon and Ellyne and dinner after that where they attempt to help out in planning for the Japan trip.

Attempt. Heh.

Tokyo is expecting their early blooming this year due to the warm winter.
The flower forecast says the 18th of March is "the date" this year.

On Saturday, March 24th, we will have this hanami party withour guests. We will go to a riverbank close to the hostel. The sakuraflowers are expected in full bloom around that date.

NOOOO. DON'T YOU DARE BLOOM, SAKURA. YOU BETTER WAIT. WAIT TILL WE'RE IN JAPAN YOU HERE ME???? PLEASE. OR I WILL HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER FOUR YEARS!!! [livejournal.com profile] phrotus is in Japan now and DARN IT, I can't get to see her! D:

Like what I told Seet Kin, I am going away on an extended holiday. I need to recover and recuperate from whatever has been ailing me. Melancholy clogs my heart, pathetic romantic notions stifle my lungs. The holiday, before I return raring to go again, will hopefully bring me back to that state of mind where I thought more and dwelt on less. I seem to have lost my 'self' these few months.

No, selling my soul doesn't count. Stop sniggering.

Maybe I'm too much like Mary Tyrone. I love the past. No, I love what it represented.

And so I shall blast incredibly emo music on my laptop speakers (in a few months, I shall have a laptop to call my own!) and bop my head about in an incredibly rocker fashion as the music fades out in heavy piano chords.

EDIT:
New layout everyone! Spring time calls for brighter colours and all time favourite GREEN.
