Sonata for Silent Keys

spiderpigThe soft tap, tap, tap pierced the cold, silent air.
She breathed in heavily, her fingers hovering over the black and white keys in anticipation. Clearing her mind, she tried to play again. A new clean slate to begin with. She began her song.
Her fingers went away rapidly, tap tap tapping as fast as she could, as fast as they would let her. Period. She finished her first sentence and sent it out, to a hopefully eager audience.
The uncertain silence of waiting. Her hands hovered, tempted to leave.
Then, a steady sounding tune replied.
Elated, relieved, happy. The girl began pounding away.
Just a short piece. Had a sudden inspiration while I was tapping on my keyboard. Then I realized they sort of resembled the keyboard of a piano. Go figure.
