I think, after SingFest I have a permanent headache. =A=;;
But anyway yes, school has (gloriously) started and I am more or less on a permanent state of drowsiness due to my very unhealthy sleeping schedule.
Had two lectures so far, both by (I am sucking up here, just in case my Professor googles her own name, egads) Prof Susan Ang who is by far one of the more interesting lecturers I've had so far. Alright okay -- Prof Gwee probably takes the cake because of obvious reasons (if you know me well enough you'll probably understand) but Prof Ang is equally cool. For the simple fact that she's given me that adrenaline rush I need to start this sem off.
WELL. YES. 19th Century Lit and Romanticism - lots of interesting texts to sustain me for what, 4 months? Gah. Not really looking forward to the massive reading (average of four full texts per module and I've got three so thats... 12 books, not including the equally massive amounts of poetry I have to read and more or less know every bit of detail about...) BUT. I will have fun. There is ALICE IN WONDERLAND and Le Morte d'Arthur so my semester can't really go wrong. I sound like a nerd but hurrah! School looks like fun! (And Ernest Hemingyway is in at least 2 of my lit classes. Fun times ahead. I wonder if he's going to be in 20th C too?)
Thing is, I haven't bought a single text except for the Three Gothic Novels because a) the queues are inhumanly long and b) most of the prescribed texts aren't in the Co-Op yet. Hurray for efficiency! Now where are my books!? I need to clear shelf space for them. And stop buying figures.
Speaking of figures, I'm more or less stopped my pre-ordering sprees and am just waiting for my existing orders to come in. I might cave in towards Goodsmile's Shiki simply because I adore the kimono that she's wearing but other than that... I doubt I'm going to go out of my way to get the Summer WF exclusives and other random figures that I don't really want but will look good on my mantle. :\ Probably will restrict myself to one figure a month at maximum, so at least my wallet won't DIE a TERRIBLE DEATH. It's like flat-lining these days.
Anyway, hanging out at the Mac Labs (again) and shall be hanging out here for as long as possible until I die or the Mac I'm hogging dies. Have dinner plans at Lau Pa Sat later with the Transport gang and Kyoto Student Gang so yes -- excellent plans.
Going to crash on the couch now. Or something. Like queue up to buy my books. -A-;;;
