End of the Week obligatory post?
Jan. 7th, 2005 01:50 pmIt's FRIDAY! (I can see clearly now, the rain is gone... BRIGHT BRIGHT SUN SHINEY DAY!) Yay! The end of the week! I get to REST for two days~~~ Woot woot.
Shall be going back to school tomorrow for the annual CCA fair and check up on my juniors and see how the band is doing. I hope to see my ex-conductor, even though she made me cry a lot. XD After all, she is good. >_> Maybe I can even touch my old Yanagisawa sax and grope my old-old silver Selmer. HEARTS.
Then there's the farewell lunch for Wanjing. ;__; She's going to England, that lucky girl!!! I'm going to miss her muchly and her "tall" hair... Luckily there's still a thing called 'the internet'.
Hellsing is <3. People may disagree with me on this, but I find the whole cinematography (is this the right term to use?) extremely captivating. And the music. Don't get me started on the music. I'm so buying the OST at the end of this month.
Speaking of money, I guess I shall forward $40 from my mum to buy the *cough*fake*cough* FMA pocketwatch set from Comics Collection. *NEEDS IT* Maybe I will buy the US$300 silver one when I get the means to buy it. YES I AM CRAZY. But I mean, it's a watch. It's silver. It's FMA. I love my Fandom enough to starve on months end.
Someone asked for my office's sexual escapades, but I shan't post it now. I mean, come on! It's 10 in the morning. There's no way I'm doing that. :\
The secretary is now asking me how to differentiate the ">" and "<" signs. SEE KIDS, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DROP OUT OF SCHOOL. Apparently, she dropped out of school before she could even finish her 'N' Level cert, because she didn't feel like studying.
WTF?!!! I don't feel like studying every friggin' minute, as do many other young'uns, but I don't see me or them dropping out like flies and a lamp! (Well, some actually do), but in this day and ageand country, we'd probably be murdered by our parents if we dropped out before obtaining an 'O' Level cert. Minimum. That is a lame-ass reason. CRAPTASTIC. I feel incensed. Maybe those sexcapades will come sooner than I thought!.
EDIT: Just answered a call from China and the lady on the line used extremely "cheem"/profound Chinese, for example 'gui' (the radical is the radical for 'expensive'), but in this context it's supposed to be an honorific when addressing the opposite party's company.
At that point of time she used that word, my mind snapped into action and I began translating everything that she said. Thank God for Higher Chinese. I'd probably be clueless to what she said (NOT INCLUDING 'GUI'. She used some other horribly profound words and phrases). I finally know the use of studying and poring over the 8 books of Higher Chinese. <3<3<3
Immediately when I heard her talking, I started to reminince about the time when I moaned and complained about how hard Higher Chinese was, and how I hated studying (NOTE STUDYING) it. But now I'm just grateful. I'm just really appreciating the fruits of my labour. I also remembered how many mock-letters I had to write for assignments (business letters, letters of complaint) and exams and how I used to miserably fail them until the final Prelim examination when I possibly scored one of the highest in the level.
I suddenly love Chinese.
EDIT2: I finally fell prey to my fangirlism and downloaded the RAW for BLEACH 162, since I couldn't find the Shounen Jump issue it was in when I went to Kinokuniya a week ago (well, the week it was supposed to come out). D: I can't keep buying Shounen Jump issues though. No space in the house. All I can pray is that the tankubon will have the colour pages. Then I shall die a happy fangirl.
Mmm... Ichigo's bankai is <3
BUT NEXT ISSUE'S SHOUNEN JUMP I'M DEFINITELY GETTING. Akamaru Jump!!
