I apparently sleep through an earthquake tremor on Tuesday night. Big smile. There goes to show you how I can sleep through shaking and all that, while I can't even sleep when my dad snores.
'slike yesterday we assembled in school in the early morning, when most of my class were still half-asleep. On the bus, I was sitting with Tyla, who has decided that my shoulder is the best shoulder ever to lie on and took advantage of that. XD It felt really weird with people lying on my shoulder. I shan't let anyone do it anymore. Awkwardness.
We arrived at Sentosa at around 8am? Well anyway, we were the earliest class at our starting point and had nothing to do. So after chasing some peacocks (it's like we never seen peacocks before) our home-tutor made us gather round in a circle and introduce ourselves to one another. In Chinese. You can guess how successful that was. Then one of our facils, Louis (the other's Li Ying, she was a station master), suggested playing that dumb adjective game where you're supposed to describe yourself with an adjective starting with the same letter of your name. I was grunting about how nothing proper starts with 'A' (...awesome? altrustic? aged?) and then he happily shouted, "ASS ALICIA!!!!!" :\ then started to apologise profusely. It was kinda funny. So when my turn finally arrived, I said that I was "Ass Alicia!". The totally clueless look on his face was priceless as he tried to figure out what I said until like, what a minute later when Tyla and I were like "Uh. Ass Alicia, y'know. You said it?", he went "Ohhhhh...". X3
Then that station master arrived and we started with the "Amazing Race". The first game made us get our asses wet and had us sitting on this tyre while our classmates pulled us up. I did the pulling with the rest most of the time. Then when it came to my turn, the rope wasn't secure and it like. flew off from my hands and the rope was like "ARGH I SHALL CUT YOUR FINGERS". How embarrassing. I had to scrambled and grab the rope and tie it around the tyre again and let them pull me up. >///< After that, I couldn't pull anymore with both hands because the rope-burn on my left was so bad until 3 of my 5 fingers started to bleed, with my index finger being the worse. I'm injury-prone, I can't help it. Louis gave me a plaster! I was like, "WHY IS IT IN YOUR WALLET! DAMNIT! NEVERMIND ARHZ! >_<" I think the girls were like "Eeewwwww...Wound." :D But it's a SPONGY plaster! I never had a spongy plaster before! I'm going to buy a box and give one to all my friends. Spongy plasters are the best.
We got the clues to the different stations and we planned our course. :D We worked as a class! If I remember correctly, we trekked from the Dolphin Lagoon, then to the Observation Towers, to Palawan Beach, to the Merlion Walk, Emerald Hall and finally to Sapphire Hall. Gathered around the table and benches, all of us were making suggestions on where to go first and solving the clues they gave us. Though, the guys were all standing at the back and not participating at first. Oh well.
On our way to the observation towers, it started to drizzle and became really windy. It started to get dreary and the class quietened down. I mean, it was raining! When we got past the pseudo suspension bridge, it started to pour much more and the wind just was really really strong. The station masters there (I think one was that John/Jon Chan guy. Tall. Too tall.) need like, five people to hula-hoop for as long as possible. We uh, sucked. But it was the wind's fault, really! After that, they made us pass down hula-hoops while having our hands held. I think we broke a record? :O 6 hula-hoops in 5minutes and 24 secs. The extra 24s was from how long we actually hula-hooped. Pathetic, I know. BUT IT WAS THE WIND! >O
Yeah, so about now the rain was drenching us to the bone and even our dri-fit tee couldn't keep us dry. My Pokemon cap was wet. :( We managed to reach Palawan Beach before it started to storm and was cheated by Li Ying! XD She made us dig around in this medium sized pit of sand when she actually forgot that she had kept the papers we were supposed to find. The picture we picked was that of a fire hydrant, so we all trooped over to the sand pits and constructed a nice looking hydrant. The process was annoyingly fun with the sand falling off whenever we didn't want it to.
As soon as we finished, the weather got really bad and all the games had to be suspended. 1T04 hid out in the pavillion. Kisha, I think, filled her bag with lotsa goodies like chips and God knows what else, so everyone just pigged out on her food. <3 Love for her. Doris came running over from the other side to talk to (Decorative!) Donovan about some ODAC stuff and was all, "BABA!!! HOW ARE YOU!" when she saw me. The facils were all having question marks floating above their heads like, "Huh? Baba?" It was really fun talking to her. :D Li Ying and Louis started telling lame jokes which were REALLY lame. Then halfway through while waiting for the rain to stop, Louis was all, "HEY YOU LOOK LIKE MY CLASSMATE." And me, being inattentive and forever deaf, I went, "Huh?" When I finally got what he was saying I just said, "Really?:O" Now I'm worried about how his classmate looks like, he might be like, what, offending his classmate by saying that I look like him/her. Heh. Then someone (Tyla or Alex or... I don't know.) got him to act really gay. *shudder* XD I think the rain just carried on for half an hour. It was really boring. Everyone was really tired.
When we could start moving again we set off for the Merlion Walk and walked up this winding path, past construction sites and the Merlion itself. It's a hulking, huge, dirty thing. I didn't realize that they did up the Merlion. There's this large pond surrounding it (I guess it'd be called a moat now) and it's actually rather pretty. :) Lovely and green. The Merlion Walk is this really weird water-pathway with the motif of snakes all around? Y'see, this is what our government does with our taxes. They use it to build this thing that wastes our country's most natural resource: water, and it invests in sharp and pointy triangular tiles that cut and scratch the people who walk through. :p
At first we couldn't go in because it was raining and thundering and y'know lightning gets attracted to postitive what-nots and stuff that I've forgotten. Luckily we could go in to the DIRTY and pleasantly cold water <3 a while later. We all got sopping wet and the randomly spurting fountains were like hell for us. But it was really fun. 04 had to crawl and climb through the mosiac-tiled path while holding hands and getting splashed by the station masters and one annoying facil. XD We took a class photo at the end of the path. I hope there's some way to get it?
Being luo tang ji, we all winded down the shortcut to Siloso Beach and hit the Emerald Hall where we did this dumb-slash-lame performance for the station masters there. Come on, we were all HUNGRY. Hungry people are not happy people! The lunch was uh, like normal catered lunches. Bad. ;p We had around a one hour break til the next part of the program (which was beach games) so we all hung around the beach and watch this poor fellow capsizing on his kayak. HA HA HA.
The break being over, we headed for the Sapphire Hall and assembled there while the cool council president by the name of Jean briefed us on the beach games. She's the coolest J2 girl I've seen so far.
The guys so far were being unenthusiastic and basically dumbasses (like me, but THEY ARE GUYS?!) but for some reason, they were really good during the beach games. YAY!
First was this really really really really stupid game called capture the flag. It's so stupid that I won't go into it because by the time both teams settled down to play, the game was over.
By this time, the sun had come out in full blast and it was really hot. :D SO I GOT A TAN. The next game was the Four-Teams-Captains'-Ball, which was complicated but really fun. We got the tallest guy in the group, Louis (duh.) to be the Captain. Unfortunately for 04 *grimace* WE HAVE LIKE A SEVERE HEIGHT DISADVANTAGE. Our tallest guy was like. still rather short. So we just jumped and wheeee, missed the balls! :D But we still managed to get a few points so YEAH WE ROXXORZ YOUR SOXXORZ.
The relay was fun because all the teams at the area were like, "OMG SUXXORZ! LET'S FUXXORZ THE TV CREW!!!" There was this stupid TV crew there that wanted to shoot something (we all were like, "what? shoot birds?") that needed the sea, so they didn't want us running into the sea to collect water, which was needed for the game. In the end we just ignored them and played the game. I didn't dash into the water. :x Alex made Louis take off his shirt (PHOOOAAAARRRR!!!! <3) so that we could get more water faster. I was in-charge of holding the bottle of dirty water. Dirty because Desmond poured in water from his mouth. :\ We collected too many pieces of the map. 04 probably stole all extras from the other parts of the sand-pit. 'slike we won a bit!
Float game was next and like we all swam twice and it was like WOAH TIRING. I never swam so fast for so long. I'm so gonna suck at my NAPFA. Embarrassment. The life-vests were dinky. I bet they couldn't save our lives if they wanted to. I swam with Tessa! And came out with wobbly legs. I just went FLOP onto the sand. That "Good Job" just brightened my day, man! :D:D:D
By then most of us had like, abrasions between our legs. It was fucking uncomfortable. Stupid facil kept on saying things like, "LUCKILY YOU GIRLS DON'T HAVE EXTRA SURFACES TO RUB AGAINST YOUR LEGS." Wah, thanks for the visual help. The tag-game was exhausthing. We had to stuff a strip of cloth at the back of our pants (haha, not the front) and grab the 'tails' of the 3 opposing teams. Talk about confusing! I'm extremely happy to say that my tail was never removed from the two times we played the game! And I'm happy to say that I groped this girl's butt repeatedly. But it's not my fault! Her tail was at the side so I didn't know where it was and I just randomly and blindly groped. Haha. She snatched it back though. :\ Then nearing the end of the first game, this talk hulking thing came up from behind me and I was like, "AUGH OPPONENT RUN AWAY" and then the person grabbed me and I realized it was the freaking tall Louis. :\ I hate tall people. Who come up behind me. I feel so short. Then he was saying something about some strategy about who distracting who, but we all know that I'm a scatter-brain and I don't pay a damn attention to important things so I didn't really understand. LUCKILY the first game ended. The second game was pretty much like the first.
'slike OH THE ABRASIONS. THE PAIN! >_< We were dismissed and I was like, too slow to take out my handphone to record down important contact numbers :(. I followed my classmates to the changing rooms and uh. Changed. I went home and slept. XD So that was my day! :)
ENCORE 2005! 2nd ORIENTATION! OH YEAH. It got me really hyped up. My voice is going to 'zao xia' anytime now. It felt almost exactly like the atmosphere back in SN Sportsdays. Ah. Nostalgia.
The day started by planning the class flag, we came up with something really good! Going to bring as many things as I can remember to bring tomorrow. Then there was a break where I ate (FINALLY) with Tessa, Esther, Michelle, Celeste and Gloria. For a while Louis followed us and was like, "I'm following you all so I can find you all later and you don't get lost." Y'see, he's the house-head for Pyro, which is the house my class is under. :\ Wonders of the world. I think he lost us anyway and we ate in peace? Gloria was sick. :( She had a clunky bottle of medicine to drink.
Jiajie, CHS guy, is leaving tomorrow for NgeeAnn's mass comm! Lucky bastard. :\ It's sad to see him go though. However, there's a new guy from NgeeAnn computing who joined us today. I can't remember his name. And I introduced myself like, "Hi, my name's Alicia, I was from St Nicks... currently in CJC." How stupid can I get. Oh hey, at least the class laughed.
After the break we all went for this thing at the auditorium. We were taught some camp fire songs like the shark song and the frog song ("Mmm-mmm went the little green frog one day...")Louis looked like a cute dork during that song. And we mass-danced again.
Then it was the house-meeting and 04 was chucked into props. :D We blew balloons (I did lots!) and sprayed our hair gold and yellow. I had a nice P sprayed on my hair and the cheer-captain, I think his name is Byron, was all, "Your hair is colourful enough without spraying." Whoops. Caught. :x Yep. And Alex helped to blow the HUGE-ASS smiley face balloon. She rocks. I wish I could've blown one. :(
ANNNNDDDD IT WAS THE FINALE! All the houses gathered in the tiny auditorium and just screamed and cheered and wooohoo! Uh. Not the Sims woohoo. >__> The facils' presentation was cool. It was a spoof (LAME ONE) of the CNB commercial. XDXD They changed the names so there was like, 'Ah Kow, Agaragar, Cheeky (as usual), Jonathan...' and like. other lame names. *insert emoticons* The class skits were good, though I think ours (Pyro's) was the funniest. We really had humor y'know! The cheering was fierce and I think I might have lost my voice. My throat feels sore. :( But having a "Good job!!" is enough! *BIG GRIN* And it was all worth it because we won the house with the best cheering! Wooooo!!! Yeah, and for the real finale, we had to do the mass-dance again. But I couldn't find a partner (no one wants to be my partner....) and I just randomly picked a partnerless girl and danced the guys part with her. It was funny! I enjoyed it much more than any other time we did the mass dance. Uh, not because it was with a girl. :\
1T04 went for dinner at Far East's Subway! And now I'm too tired to continue. We talked a lot and ate a lotwithout our facils. Except me because I had no appetite. Lunch was filling.
I need to get ready my art portfolio by Friday. Ho hum. Deviant-art here I come. I'm too tired to actually produce new pieces. I need nice photo-paper to print out stuffs. I told my dad that my printer lacked cyan and yellow ink and that he needed to buy some. He was all, "You don't have extras? What program do you use to print?" UH. LIKE WHAT? So I told him, Photoshop, because his question was weird. Then he was all sulky and like, "Then you go find Photoshop and print lorh." Uhhhh. Yeah. I'll print the things tomorrow.
'slike yesterday we assembled in school in the early morning, when most of my class were still half-asleep.
