I have returned from a shopping trip with my friends. Shock and wonder. I actually go shopping like a right little girl. XDXD But I do enjoy walking around aimlessly and spending all my money. Imagine this, just half a year later, you'll see me posting stuff about how this dress is cute, and how that dress is cute, 'cause I'll be shopping for my (much dreaded/expected) graduation dress. So I shall post nice pictures of me goofing off and prancing about.
We went shopping for Lydia's present today, which reminded me that I had to get started on her card. I think I'm going to do a flipbook thing for her. So we wandered around Orchad Road and went to (yay!!!) NgeeAnnCity, which houses my favourite bookstore in the world, Kinokuniya. XDXD I spent the rest of my week's allowance there on manga. Duh. We bought a box of Crayola crayons for her, and contemplated on whether to buy washable markers for her, since she likes to draw on herself. Actually, she doesn't, so I don't know who said that. :\ Yen accidentally bit a pen, and I had to explain to them how to use COPIC markers. I overheard a bunch of poseur manga-lovin' kids there saying stuff like, "Oh! This is the same! But its different! (referring to the two version of the Tsubasa manga)". "Yeah, of course. You can take the book out this way!" Well DUH, its in a slip cover. :\:\ "This must in colour!" Well, no, my little munchkins. Its just nicely done up and put in a hard cover, and more expensive than you. >O I don't like little posuers.
Speaking of posuers, my brother was turning into a wanna-be skate-kid. But he's off at boarding school (not that we're rich or anything. :\ He's in a Sports School.) and all, so he can't be a sk8er kid! YAY. He kept on being "cool" and "yoyo, wassup" to me everyday during that period of time, wearing baggy pants and trying to da cool AZN kid. Bleh. Game over, bro.
Okay, so after wandering around NgeeAnn, we headed off to Popular Bookstore ("We are Popular!!!" Yes, we know that's a clever pun) to buy a tack-board. Someone had this brilliant idea of buying a tack-board and sticking Lydia's favourite and most-hated people on it, so she could throw darts and draw on them. XDXDXD So we bought this huge 3M board which was in the shape of a basketball, soccer ball and football. Woohoo. Yay for sports. I moaned about not having enough money to buy stationary.
We trooped off to Far East Plaza to take neoprints. I think I'm gonna be a shameless person and post photos of myself from now on. :\ The whole group of us pored over the bags, pencil cases and expensive-stuff-which-I-will/can't-ever-buy-because-my-mother-will-throw-a-fit at 77th Street and those cute little shops. They were having a hip-hop dance competition at the basement level to usher in the new movie "Honey" starring Jessica Alba. We tried to peer over the rows and rows of tall people, but they were too tall. Pongzie commented something on their dancing, "Erm, isn't this a HIPHOP competition, not some INDIAN DANCE?!!" O.o They tried to make me look cute and pretty at one of these shops, by putting multitudes of clips in my hair. I saw some nice pencil boxes at 77th Street, one with a PlayBoy motif, the other with The Nightmare Before Christmas. I think I'd buy the latter, but I have too many pens. :\ So either I buy the expensive Billabong $20 pencil case, or get rid of my pens and get the $10 TNBC one, OR just continue using my unique computer case. XD
We created havoc in the neoprint machine, screaming things like "AHHHHRHGHGH!!! 20 SECONDS LEFT HURRY!!!" and "AAAAhHHHH NO FLOWERSSS".... XDXD We're MAD I tell you, MAD.
Oh yes, I'd like to publicly apologize for my laziness to
gweenmeanie for STILL not sending his present over. HAHA. You may never receive it at the rate I'm going. Some where in the future though, you will.
I'm uploading the photos I've taken from last year. O.o Wait a sec, the links will be up...
